Responsibilities:
- Driving our Class 1 vehicles in a safe and professional manner
- Tramping out 4 nights per week (Mon-Thu), travelling across our territory as required
- Collecting and distributing waste and waste products across our areas of operation
- Liaising and communicating effectively with customers, members of the public and our team at J. Dickinson’s
- Completing and recording pre-use and after-use checks on the vehicle
- Representing the company in an appropriate and professional manner at all times
What you need:
- Valid Class 1 category driving licence
- Proven working experience as an HGV driver, with a good driving record and no traffic violations
- Previous experience working as an HGV driver in the waste industry would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided if you do not have this
- Understanding of transport compliance and the Working Time Directive
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work proactively, independently and on own initiative
Package:
- Competitive daily rate, plus £35.00 meal and nights out allowance
- Monday to Friday, with 4 nights out required Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu
