  • Starting salary of £29,013
  • 40‑hour working week

The Role

As a shift manager you will support the pub manager in the day‑to‑day running of the pub.

  • Training, leading, supporting and motivating the team
  • Managing the pub’s operation during shifts, including compliance with company operating standards and legislation, customer handling, administration and cash management
  • Prioritising tasks, delegating and problem‑solving
  • Working a variety of shifts across the week (front of house and kitchen)
  • Delivering high standards in all areas: cleanliness, product quality, customer service, maintenance and atmosphere
  • Ensuring bar, kitchen, cellar, toilets, front and back of house are cleaned and maintained throughout the day, following company guidelines and the CAYG philosophy
  • Managing office administration, cash control, stock management and deliveries
