Responsibilities
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service standards at all times, with particular attention to all aspects of fire safety.
- Deliver the best CQSMA standards – cleanliness, quality, service, maintenance, and atmosphere.
- Manage the safe running of the hotel overnight, handling reservations and dealing with enquiries.
- Perform hourly security checks and be responsible for evacuation in emergencies.
- Complete the duty manager logbook and report all accidents and incidents.
- Maintain full adherence to licensing law, trading standards, customs & excise regulations, food hygiene, and health & fire safety.
Requirements
- Professional and well presented, good conversational English and an excellent customer service focus.
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- Self‑motivated with a high level of enthusiasm.
- Ability to respond well to pressure and confident in handling people in emergency or conflict situations.
- Fixed place of residence reasonably close to the pub and proof of right to work in the UK.
- Over 18 (if under 18, other vacancies may be available).
