A kitchen shift manager supports the kitchen manager and pub manager and takes responsibility for the kitchen operation. This includes supporting, leading and motivating the team to meet sales, profit and compliance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Run shifts and work unsupervised to achieve excellent customer service.
- Serve food to the correct specification, while achieving food-delivery-time targets at all times.
- Adhere to all Wetherspoon standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies, to maintain a clean, safe and legal workplace.
- Deliver high standards in all areas: cleanliness, product quality, customer service, maintenance and atmosphere.
- Comply with company operating standards and legislation, dealing with customers, administration and, once trained, cash management.
- Prioritise tasks, delegate and problem-solve.
- Work on a variety of shifts across the week (including front of house).
- Take responsibility in achieving all financial targets set for the kitchen, by taking proactive steps to build sales and control costs.
- Work with the kitchen manager to forecast sales and associated costs, review and manage all aspects of the profit and loss account, and maximise sales opportunities.

- Starting salary of £30,387 (there is additional pay-weighting within the M25 and at other selected locations).
