Responsibilities

Maintain excellent standards of customer service at all times with particular attention to all aspects of fire safety. Ensure safe running of the hotel overnight, handling reservations and dealing with enquiries, completing hourly security checks, and managing evacuation in emergencies.

Maintain the duty manager logbook, report all accidents and incidents, and enforce strict compliance with licensing law, trading standards, customs & excise regulations, food hygiene, health & fire safety.

Qualifications & Skills

Professional and well presented, with good conversational English and an excellent customer‑service focus. Ability to communicate with people at all levels, self‑motivated, enthusiastic, able to respond well under pressure and confident in handling emergency or conflict situations.

Must be over 18, have a fixed place of residence reasonably close to the pub and proof of right to work in the UK. Younger applicants may apply for kitchen or floor staff vacancies.
