The role
At a glance, your role is to clean all areas of the hotel thoroughly, with the aim of enhancing the guests’ experience by maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness at all times.
Duties
- interacting politely with guests – greeting them, saying “thank you” and “goodbye”
- servicing bedrooms and all other hotel areas in line with standard operating procedures
- completing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks, as required
- following correct procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment
- monitoring cleaning supplies and notifying the manager when more are needed
- storing all laundry correctly and completing relevant documentation
- adhering to stock-control procedures and maintaining security of stock
- reporting any security issues, safety hazards, accidents, incidents and/or maintenance issues to the manager on duty
- completing required induction, role-specific and refresher training and contributing to continuous improvement
