A kitchen shift manager supports the kitchen manager and pub manager and takes responsibility for the kitchen operation. This includes supporting, leading and motivating the team to meet sales, profit and compliance targets.
Responsibilities:
- Run shifts and work unsupervised to achieve excellent customer service by serving food to the correct specification while achieving food-delivery-time targets.
- Adhere to all Wetherspoon standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies to maintain a clean, safe and legal workplace.
- Deliver high standards in all areas: cleanliness, product quality, customer service, maintenance and atmosphere.
- Comply with company operating standards and legislation, deal with customers, handle administration and, once trained, manage cash.
- Prioritise tasks, delegate and problem-solve.
- Work on a variety of shifts across the week (including front of house).
- Take responsibility for achieving all financial targets set for the kitchen by taking proactive steps to build sales and control costs.
- Work with the kitchen manager to forecast sales and associated costs, review and manage all aspects of the profit and loss account, and maximise sales opportunities.
