We are recruiting a Class 2 HGV driver to work from our Rochford base. JCS provides a range of services to our clients, including haulage, groundworks, fencing, general site maintenance, street furniture installation, and installation of digital advertising.
In this role, you will be working as part of our internal team delivering goods and street furniture to our operated sites or collecting and delivering clients' items to the required locations in a timely, professional manner while driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.
The ideal candidate will need to have:
- Up-to-date CPC and digital tacho card
- Experience in using a Hiab (training will be provided if you do not have a current ALLMI or equivalent card)
- Experience and knowledge of unloading on roadside next to active highways
- Experience working within an HGV loading and unloading environment
Additional requirements include:
- Class 2 driving licence
- Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety protocols
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
You will be required to work within the framework of JCS H&S Policy and accompanying legislation and codes of practice.

Candidates must be reliable, good with timekeeping, and a team player. General working hours are between 6am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (night works may be needed to meet project demands with advanced notice).

Ability to commute/relocate: Southend-on-Sea: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
