We’re looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded Technical Product Support Specialist to join our team at the JCB World Parts Centre supporting our OEM Engines and Generator products. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting product quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement across our parts operation.
As a Technical Product Support Specialist, you’ll be the main point of contact for external enquiries to support in the troubleshooting of machine technical concerns. The role also ensures that customer feedback on emerging product concerns are documented and reported to our factory teams to drive continuous product improvement. You’ll also work proactively, being responsible for ensuring JCB’s technical literature is up to date and accurate as well as ready for any new product launches. You’ll work closely with customers, engineering teams and wider business functions helping to ensure that our products consistently meet the high standards expected of the JCB brand. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong analytical ability, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering excellent customer outcomes.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Providing industry leading technical support to JCB Dealers, Subsids and OEM Distributors via JCB’s Techweb system.
- Leveraging support from the wider JCB business to ensure first‑time fixes in a timely manner.
- Working proactively, being responsible for ensuring JCB’s technical literature is up to date and accurate.
- Authoring of Technical Bulletins to communicate field fixes for product concerns.
- Playing a key part in the launch of new JCB products by providing customer insights and feedback into the new product development process, assisting with machine appraisals, approving the suitability of diagnostic tools and technical literature, compiling diagnostic help information, and providing initial feedback on emerging technical concerns.
- Working with the internal OEM team and acting as the face of JCB Service to our OEM Distributors & Customers.
- Supporting them in‑person as required for service reviews and technical investigations.
- Maintaining relationships with technical service contacts within JCB Dealers, Subsids and OEM Distributors & Customers.
This will be suited to you if…
- You hold an engineering qualification (HNC/HND/degree or equivalent), or you have relevant hands‑on experience with strong technical ability.
- You have a good understanding of data analysis and can interpret information to support decision‑making.
- You have strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on identifying root causes.
- You have effective communication skills and can collaborate with stakeholders across different functions.
- You are able to work independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.
- You can manage your workload, prioritise tasks effectively, and stay organised.
- You demonstrate a proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering a high standard of customer service.
- You have prior knowledge and experience with Power Generation and modern Combustion Engine technology (StgV).
- You have prior knowledge of JCB products (desirable but not essential).
