About the role

Be the champion for a key product line in a globally strategic business. Large Excavators are a vital part of JCB’s global growth strategy. We’re looking for a dynamic Product Specialist to own and shape this product line, ensuring our machine offering remains competitive, profitable, and clearly positioned with a compelling “Why Buy JCB” message. Key focus markets for this role include the UK, mainland Europe, and North America, with the potential for international travel to these regions to support product, customer, and market activities. This role will play a crucial part in supporting sales activity through our global distribution channel — equipping dealers with the right tools, insights, and training to effectively position and sell JCB’s tracked excavator range. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in growing our global market share, enhancing customer satisfaction, and defining the future of the X-Series tracked excavator platform.

What does this role involve day to day?

  • Developing and owning the global product plan for tracked excavators – working closely with Engineering, Commercial, and Regional Sales teams.
  • Translating customer insight and market trends into product strategies, sales tools, and technical documentation.
  • Driving the product roadmap, defining options, attachments, and digital features like LiveLink to meet regional needs.
  • Supporting new product introductions, pricing strategies, and mix management to maximise profitability across markets.
  • Championing the Yellow Series strategy, helping to rationalise complexity and streamline machine configurations.
  • Working with marketing and sales teams to craft targeted campaigns and training materials that support sales growth and global consistency.
  • Providing global support across customer visits, product launches, and technical enquiries.
  • Monitoring competitors and benchmarking products and propositions to maintain JCB’s competitive edge.

This will be suited to you if…

  • You have a strong understanding of construction equipment, ideally excavators, and a passion for customer‑led product development.
  • You’ve got demonstrable experience working with dealers, customers, or global sales teams in a product, technical, or commercial capacity.
  • You’re an excellent communicator and have the ability to translate complex technical info into clear customer propositions.
  • You have a collaborative approach, working well across functions including Engineering, Marketing, Finance and Operations.
  • You have strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset – you enjoy turning insight into action.
  • You’re willing to travel and support customers, markets, and events around the world.
