Overview
We are looking for a commercially focused and analytical Commercial Business Manager to join JCB's Commercial Operations team.
Working closely with JCB Sales Regions, Growth Teams, Regional Sales Directors and Financial Controllers, you will play a key role in ensuring our global sales teams have the commercial tools, systems, processes and insights required to achieve annual sales targets and support JCB's long term growth strategy.
This is a varied and highly visible role that combines commercial analysis, pricing strategy, reporting, systems management and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Support JCB Sales Regions with pricing, incentives, market support requests and other commercial activities.
- Develop, maintain and improve commercial databases, reporting tools and business models.
- Produce analysis and insights to support sales performance, profitability and strategic decision making.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance and Operations teams to support forecasting, budgeting and commercial planning activities.
- Improve data quality, reporting accuracy and business controls across commercial processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual activities and enhance reporting capability.
- Analyse market trends, sales opportunities and pricing strategies to support profitable business growth.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide commercially sound recommendations.
- Support the delivery of strategic growth plans through continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to analyse data to support business decisions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, modelling and data analysis.
- Experience developing and maintaining databases, commercial systems or reporting tools.
- Strong numeracy and financial analysis skills, with an understanding of pricing, profitability and forecasting.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- A passion for solving problems, challenging existing processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Understanding of the relationship between Sales, Finance, Operations and wider business functions.
- Self motivated, proactive and driven to deliver business results.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and willing to travel internationally when required.
