As a Product Specialist at JCB Compact Products, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving customer engagement, product excellence, and supporting JCB’s wider strategic goals. This is a key position requiring a blend of commercial awareness and product expertise to strengthen our offering in a competitive market. You’ll act as a vital link between product development, sales, and customer support, helping to improve efficiency across the team and enhance both dealer and customer experience. By streamlining product enquiries and reducing time spent on troubleshooting, you’ll directly contribute to increased customer satisfaction, loyalty, and ultimately, sales growth. This role is fundamental to the business, supporting continuous improvement in product development and ensuring JCB remains at the forefront of innovation and customer focus.

What does this role involve day to day?

  • Collaborating with financial and commercial teams to define pricing strategies and agree competitive incentives
  • Conducting market research, building business cases, and engaging with dealers and customers to evaluate products and stay ahead of competitors
  • Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), including pricing positioning, creation of product briefs, and coordination of regional launches
  • Working closely with Engineering and Operations to support sales specials and capture new product requirements
  • Partnering with Marketing to develop high-quality product collateral, including literature, photoshoots, and videoshoots
  • Delivering excellent product support and customer service to the dealer network via phone and digital channels
  • Contributing to improved internal efficiency by ensuring product queries are handled quickly and effectively

This will be suited to you if…

  • You are degree qualified (or equivalent) and have strong organisational, planning, and communication skills
  • You bring a commercial mindset, ideally supported by experience in agricultural or construction machinery (though this is desirable, not essential)
  • You are proactive, curious, and motivated to continuously learn, contribute ideas, and drive improvements
  • You may currently be working in an agricultural or construction environment and are looking to transition into a more commercially focused role
  • You have high levels of energy, resilience, and a strong personal drive to succeed within a team environment
  • You are able to balance technical understanding with business insight and enjoy working across cross‑functional teams
