Are you looking for a hands-on role where every day brings a new challenge? We’re searching for a dedicated CCTV Operative to join our team working across the Southern Water network. In this role, you’ll play a key part in inspecting, surveying, and maintaining the drainage network, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our sites.
You’ll be carrying out CCTV surveys, supporting drainage repair works, completing pre-start and site-specific risk assessments, and keeping accurate records using handheld technology. The role involves working closely with supervisors and team leaders, following clear instructions, maintaining safe working practices, and ensuring company vehicles, equipment, and PPE standards are always upheld. At times you may also take part in a call-out rota and travel across different operational sites.
About Cappagh Browne Utilities Ltd: Cappagh Browne Utilities Ltd is a special purpose joint venture established to deliver wastewater network maintenance and repair services for Southern Water across the South of England. We focus on keeping sewer networks operating efficiently through planned maintenance, emergency response and rehabilitation works. Our capability is underpinned by a substantial fleet of specialist vehicles including vacuum tankers, jetting units and CCTV survey equipment, supported by advanced technology for rapid diagnostics and effective solutions. With a reputation for safety, reliability and technical expertise, Cappagh Browne plays a critical role in protecting communities and maintaining essential infrastructure.

- Essential Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Previous experience working on drainage utilities or wastewater networks
- Understanding of sewer systems and drainage infrastructure
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Confident using handheld devices to capture work information
- Professional, courteous, and able to communicate clearly with colleagues and visitors
- Able to follow health & safety processes and carry out risk assessments
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently when required

- Valid Driving Licence
- NRSWA Street Works
- Confined Space Training
- High Pressure Water Jetting (WJA)
- Site safety certification (e.g., CSCS card)
- Desirable Qualifications
