We’re looking for an enthusiastic Environment & Sustainability Graduate to join our team and support the Environment and Sustainability Lead in ensuring our operational activities are delivered responsibly and compliantly.
In this varied and hands-on role, you'll gain exposure across field, office, and remote work as you support internal environmental audits, help maintain our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and contribute to compliance, reporting, carbon accounting, and incident investigations. You’ll play an important part in promoting sustainable practices, supporting waste and pollution management, and working closely with operational teams and subcontractors to champion environmental awareness across our sites.

About CBUL
Cappagh Browne Utilities Ltd is a special purpose joint venture established to deliver wastewater network maintenance and repair services for Southern Water across the South of England. We focus on keeping sewer networks operating efficiently through planned maintenance, emergency response and rehabilitation works. Our capability is underpinned by a substantial fleet of specialist vehicles including vacuum tankers, jetting units and CCTV survey equipment, supported by advanced technology for rapid diagnostics and effective solutions. With a reputation for safety, reliability and technical expertise, Cappagh Browne plays a critical role in protecting communities and maintaining essential infrastructure.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking someone motivated, proactive, and genuinely passionate about the environment. You’ll bring a willingness to learn, confidence to engage with different teams, and the drive to help us continually improve our environmental performance.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of environmental management principles, regulations, and best practice
- Understanding of environmental risks, pollution prevention, and protected habitats
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and support multiple workstreams
- Willingness to travel to operational sites across the Southeast
- Full UK driving licence
- Degree (or final year) in an environmental or sustainability-related discipline
Desirable
- Student/graduate membership of IEMA, CIWEM or similar
- Knowledge of CEMPs and WMPs
- Experience with GIS, surveying tools, or environmental monitoring equipment
- Relevant placement year or practical experience within the environmental field
