We are seeking an experienced MEICA Project Manager to manage and deliver mechanical and electrical projects across the water and wastewater industry. The role focuses on ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
From contract award through to completion and handover, you will lead the delivery of water industry projects, developing and managing programmes, budgets, and resource plans. A strong focus on health, safety, environmental compliance, and quality will be central to your approach. This is an office-based role with regular site visits so flexibility to travel and a UK driving licence is required.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience and Knowledge
- Proven project management experience within the water industry, utilities, or a heavy engineering environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including pumps, MCCs, pipework, and instrumentation
- Familiarity with WIMES specifications, BS 7671, and water industry client standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in cost control, contracts, and financial management
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent planning and organisational skills
- Proactive, professional, and solution-focused, with a strong commitment to safety and quality
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Desirable: Project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2 or similar), SMSTS, EUSR Water Hygiene, confined space training, and experience with project planning software
