Role overview

As an Apprentice IT Technician, you will learn how to manage and support the full range of IT services used across the business. This includes gaining hands-on experience with end-user device management, system administration, network operations, cybersecurity fundamentals, and service desk support. You will help maintain the reliability, security, and performance of the company’s technology estate, while learning how IT underpins the delivery of our services across the utilities sector. Over the apprenticeship, you will gradually take ownership of tasks and projects, contributing directly to the continuous improvement of our IT operations. The role may require occasional work outside standard hours, and with projects across multiple locations, flexibility and travel are important.

This is a degree Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Professional apprenticeship. You will be working towards a BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions degree at University London of East on a day release over a period of 4 years. We will also support you in gaining a professional chartered membership.
