Position Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a Chauffeur to join the Barbour team. As Chauffeur, you will be responsible for driving a senior member of Barbour’s board to and from various locations. You will ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and ready for use, being organised and have excellent knowledge of the Northeast area. You will maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion and be flexible and adaptable in your approach.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely transport board member to and from desired locations and plan the best route to avoid traffic delays and ensure timely arrivals.
- Provide high level of standard of service and ensure comfort throughout, also remain professional and polite at all times.
- Assist passenger with getting in and out of the vehicle, as needed, and assist with luggage, door opening and so on. Handle any special requests or needs of the passenger.
- Ensure the vehicle is fuelled, clean ready for use, carrying out any routine maintenance checks, and reporting any mechanical issues as appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Valid driver’s license and knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic patterns and excellent knowledge of the North East area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Flexibility with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to assist with luggage, door opening, etc.
- Willingness to handle any special requests or needs of the passenger.
- DBC check required.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a chauffeur or driver.
Additional information:
- The working pattern for this role is 9am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday.
- Flexibility is essential, the passenger may occasionally require service outside of the standard working hours.
- Occasional weekend working may be required.
- DBS check required.
