About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Collections Team Leader - Administration to lead the daily operations of our Collections Administration Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service standards.

In this role, you will oversee workflow management, resource allocation, and team performance to ensure effective debt collection services are delivered within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will work closely with colleagues across the business to support debt recovery activities while driving continuous improvement, compliance, and operational excellence.

As a leader within the team, you will provide coaching, guidance, and performance support to help colleagues develop, succeed, and deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Collections Administration Team.
  • Manage workloads and resources to ensure service levels and performance targets are achieved.
  • Monitor team productivity, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Provide coaching, training, and ongoing performance feedback to team members.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance productivity and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and oversee debt recovery case progression, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, including legal and litigation teams.
  • Respond to client enquiries, provide updates, and maintain excellent levels of client service.
  • Support the delivery of team and departmental KPIs and operational objectives.

About You

We're looking for someone who can combine strong leadership skills with operational expertise and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Previous experience leading or supervising an administrative or collections team.
  • Strong workload management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in documentation and communication.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant case management systems.
  • Experience monitoring team performance against KPIs and SLAs.
  • Experience within debt recovery, property management, legal services, or a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of debt recovery processes and relevant legal regulations.
  • Experience implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies.
