Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated, qualified and experienced Retrofit Assessor to join our team. As a Retrofit Assessor you will be delivering PAS2035 compliant surveys to domestic properties and providing face to face advice to potential customers on suitable energy efficiency solutions.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Undertake retrofit assessments in accordance with the latest version of the PAS 2035 standard and produce relevant technical reports to support your findings.
- Generate complete and professional Retrofit Assessment (RA) packs using company templates and/or software solutions.
- Capture relevant geo and time-stamped photographs of relevant interior and exterior property areas, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, stores, lofts, heating systems, and external elevations.
- Undertake other relevant technical surveys on domestic properties to help with the assessment of energy performance of IZ Energy customer properties.
- Perform borescope inspections to assess domestic property fabric conditions.
- Conduct thorough technical inspections of building fabrics and produce detailed technical reports.
- Prepare detailed floor plans and perform appropriate calculations for both gross and net property areas.
- Prepare and lodge Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
- Analyse and recommend potential measure mixes and evaluate measure specific SAP point impact.
- Analyse housing stock data to identify potential opportunities for energy efficiency and renewable energy works.
- Liaise and collaboratively work with other IZ Energy teams to assist with the successful completion of works.
- Maintain a wide knowledge and understanding of the domestic energy efficiency sector.
- Attend internal and external project and company related meetings as appropriate.
- Complete any other reasonable tasks as required by senior managers.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Full UK Driving Licence & Own Transportation
- Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor
- Qualified Domestic Retrofit Assessor
- Proven experience in the domestic energy efficiency sector
- Good understanding of UK funding schemes for energy efficiency
- Hold relevant additional qualifications within the domestic retrofit sector
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
