Location: Barking- Site Based, UK

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Job Summary:

We are looking for skilled General Electricians to undertake a variety of electrical tasks, including installations, maintenance, and repairs in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical systems and a passion for delivering high-quality work.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Installations: Perform installations of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power outlets, in compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical faults to ensure systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all work complies with the latest electrical regulations (BS 7671) and health and safety standards.
  • Testing and Inspection: Conduct electrical testing and inspection of installations, producing certificates as required.
  • Upgrades and Modifications: Install and upgrade consumer units, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide professional and courteous service, addressing customer concerns and explaining work conducted.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site coordinators, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Experience with domestic and commercial electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Full UK driving license.

Desirable:

  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Testing & Inspection).
  • Experience with renewable energy systems, such as solar PV or battery storage.
  • Knowledge of EV charging station installations.
  • CSCS card or equivalent.
