Job Summary:
We are looking for skilled General Electricians to undertake a variety of electrical tasks, including installations, maintenance, and repairs in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical systems and a passion for delivering high-quality work.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Electrical Installations: Perform installations of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power outlets, in compliance with industry standards.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical faults to ensure systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all work complies with the latest electrical regulations (BS 7671) and health and safety standards.
- Testing and Inspection: Conduct electrical testing and inspection of installations, producing certificates as required.
- Upgrades and Modifications: Install and upgrade consumer units, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
- Customer Interaction: Provide professional and courteous service, addressing customer concerns and explaining work conducted.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site coordinators, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Experience with domestic and commercial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Full UK driving license.
Desirable:
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Testing & Inspection).
- Experience with renewable energy systems, such as solar PV or battery storage.
- Knowledge of EV charging station installations.
- CSCS card or equivalent.
