Littelfuse is a leading, global manufacturer of electronic components serving more than 100,000 end customers across industrial, transportation, and electronics end markets. We have more than 17,000 employees with operations in 15 countries. Currently, we are looking for a Plant and Facilities Engineer to join the Littelfuse Facilities and Maintenance Department. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining plant facilities, supporting daily operations, and contributing to new equipment and project work. This role is based on-site in Chippenham and reports directly to Facilities Supervisor.
About the job:
- Install and maintain a range of electrical systems, including pumps and motors, fixed wiring, distribution boards, and other industrial equipment
- Work with mechanical systems such as LEV units, plastic and metal pipework, and domestic services
- Carry out planned maintenance and servicing of plant equipment according to manufacturer guidelines
- Take an active role in designing and installing new equipment and supporting project work
- Handle day-to-day building services tasks and general maintenance
- Support internal departments by providing services when needed
- Record all maintenance activities in the appropriate maintenance management systems
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and the Occupational Health & Safety Management System
About you:
- Higher education in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities, electrical maintenance, or similar work
- Completed apprenticeship in electronics or electrical engineering is a plus
- Experience with electrical systems and installations
- Experience with mechanical service installation and maintenance is desirable
- Self-motivated, with a flexible attitude toward the role and equipment as needs change
- A positive team attitude, with the added ability to work individually to get the task done
- Desire to commit to the continuous improvement & effectiveness of the Facilities and Maintenance team
