IXORA Hotel and Spa opened in December 2024, nestled in the breathtaking surroundings of Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park. We offer luxurious accommodations, onsite dining, a fitness centre, and a tranquil spa. We are now looking for a Breakfast Chef who shares our passion for hospitality and world-class customer service. We value hardworking, positive team players who are committed to delivering an incredible experience for our guests.
Job Purpose
To deliver safe, high-quality food products (primarily the breakfast buffet) that fully meet specified standards and minimise waste.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly between food service team and kitchen colleagues.
- Requisition required food/consumable items in line with forecasted covers.
- Ensure that all food dishes are fully prepared as specified.
- Maintain workstation cleanliness and tidiness.
- Contribute consistently to a highly effective breakfast service.
- Participate positively in pre- and post-service briefs.
- Minimise waste by preparing and producing appropriately.
- Close down your section and complete end of shift procedures.
- Present yourself in a professional manner and acknowledge guests positively.
- Work as part of the F&B team, interacting positively with colleagues.
- Report malfunction of services and equipment to the Head Chef.
- Respect the perspective, privacy, safety, and security of guests and colleagues.
- Provide constructive suggestions/feedback on improvements.
- Apply yourself fully during team training and briefing exercises.
- Support colleagues whose workload may temporarily exceed your own.
- Report for duty on time and submit specific time off requests.
- Be aware of department standards, goals, objectives, and performance.
- Organise yourself and the kitchen to deliver pre-service and breakfast tasks effectively.
- Understand the specifications of the dishes we execute.
Preferred Qualifications
- College qualification or equivalent experience.
- Food Hygiene Certification.
