IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking Sales Development Representatives to join our growing MyTutor team. MyTutor is the UK's leading online one-to-one tutoring platform and now part of the IXL Learning family. As a key member of our Partnerships team, you will be at the forefront of our growth and our mission to make high quality educational tools and tutoring accessible to students everywhere. Your role will be to connect with schools and educators, introducing them to both our IXL Learning flagship product and our powerful MyTutor platform. You will also manage several existing customer accounts. By building genuine relationships, you will generate interest in how our services can meet their specific needs in the classroom.
This is a full-time position in our London office on Old Street. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Research and identify potential customers who would benefit from MyTutor and IXL programmes, connecting with them through phone calls, emails, and social media.
- Influence stakeholders close to the decision maker, where direct access to the final decision maker is not yet possible.
- Help qualify interested schools and teachers by clearly explaining how MyTutor and IXL work and the benefits of our services.
- Take ownership of your own leads in specific regions, working to hit our customer targets for the academic year.
- Develop and carry out targeted plans to engage with different educational groups, including Multi Academy Trusts, Local Authorities, and Colleges.
- Collaborate with a specific group of customers to ensure they continue to use and love our service.
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams on research, administrative tasks, and new ideas to improve our outreach efforts.
- Keep up to date with the latest trends and news in the education sector to find new opportunities and ensure your conversations are relevant and informed.
- Regularly update sales leaders on your results and ensure your work is accurately recorded in our CRM system.
- Represent MyTutor and IXL at events across England to help spread the word and connect with the education community in person.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Prior sales experience. Educational sales or classroom experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable engaging a wide range of people, including those who may initially be skeptical, presenting information clearly and persuasively.
- A self-starter mentality with the ability to manage your workload and consistently complete tasks to meet daily goals and performance targets.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong desire to continue learning and growing, with the ability to accept feedback to further professional development.
