IXICO is a global leader in neuroscience imaging and biomarker analytics, using its proprietary AI-driven platform to help advance the treatment of neurological disorders and reduce the uncertainties associated with drug discovery, development and monitoring. As a key part of the global neurological disease research community, the Company has built a global reputation and 20-year track record as an end-to-end Imaging Contract Research Organisation (iCRO) working with leading pharma companies, innovative biotech's, disease consortia and non-profit organisations.

The IXICO Platform is tailor-made for neurological disease, reliably processing data from global trials, precisely measuring key imaging biomarkers associated with the identification, progression and treatment of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Huntington's and Parkinson's. Image data is interrogated by the Platform and IXICO's expert scientists translating complex data into clinically meaningful insights while minimizing data variability and increasing reproducibility.

To help us deliver our medical image analysis solutions to large clinical trials we are hiring a Marketing Communications Manager on a permanent full-time capacity.

Purpose of the Role: The Marketing Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing IXICO's marketing and communications strategy. This individual will be responsible for delivering compelling, scientifically credible content and campaigns that support brand awareness, lead generation, and commercial objectives. The role requires a blend of scientific storytelling, digital marketing expertise, creative execution, and sales enablement, working closely with commercial, scientific, and leadership teams to manage and enhance IXICO's reputation and raise its profile amongst current and prospective biopharma clients, academic collaborators, and partners.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Planning and measurement: Develop and execute a marketing and communication plan that maximises brand awareness and clearly relays IXICO's value proposition through marketing content and PR. Provide timely monthly reporting on progress against agreed KPI's including digital content, channel performance and lead generation impact. Track and manage marketing spending to agreed budget levels. Develop and maintain an annual marketing calendar to ensure effective planning of marketing activities for scheduled conference attendance, product launches and other activities. Manage 3rd party vendors including PR companies, graphic designers, printers and website designers. Work closely with scientific, clinical, commercial, and leadership teams to gather insights and align messaging. Act as a central point of coordination for marketing communications activities.
  • Content creation, management and distribution: Translate complex scientific materials into compelling marketing communications that ensure IXICO become a byword for high quality scientific and technology communications including the creation, development and distribution of blogs, white papers, case studies, disease area and technology product descriptions and thought leadership articles. Generation and management of IXICO's webinars liaising with key internal and external scientific stakeholders to deliver a series (c. 4-6 p.a.) of relevant and compelling webinars that demonstrate IXICO's neuroscience expertise. Management of the IXICO website including updates on news and content becoming the "owner" for the effectiveness of the company's website structure in meeting the needs of all stakeholders and optimising website performance. Management of IXICO's social media presence (primarily LinkedIn and BlueSky), including content planning, posting, analytics, and engagement. Maintenance and evolution of IXICO's brand identity across all touchpoints including creating brand awareness campaigns across multiple channels – earned, owned and paid media. Support PR activity including press releases, announcements, and corporate communications, coordinating with external PR agencies and internal stakeholders as required. Assistance in preparing messaging for company updates, events, and industry milestones. Tracking and reporting on digital performance metrics to inform continuous improvement. Production or oversight of the creation of graphic design assets, including digital graphics, infographics, and print materials. Maintaining visual consistency and high-quality execution across marketing outputs.
  • Conference planning and event co-ordination: Help to coordinate, plan, support and market key conference and event attendance. Publicise IXICO's conference and events presence and support any marketing collateral creation. Help track event performance, leads, and ROI, feeding insights back into marketing and sales planning. Work closely with the Business Development team (BD) providing the critical marketing materials and support required for the BD team to generate new business development leads through heightened brand awareness and a clearly defined value propositions for our services. Develop effective sales enablement materials that support the sales cycle. Create presentations, pitch decks, one-pagers, and supporting assets tailored to target audiences and stages of the funnel. Ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across all customer-facing materials.

Qualifications & Skills Required for the Role: Prior experience of working in a technology or scientifically led organisation(s) creating scientific or technical content. Minimum of 3 years marketing/external communications experience. Strong planning skills and demonstrable ability to develop and execute communication plans. Technical competency with social media communication, SEO, web content, basic branding and design. Proficiency with common marketing tools including social media management, analytics and website (Content Management Systems). Excellent written English and verbal communication, and attention to detail. Team player with strong interpersonal, planning and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Formal marketing and/or PR qualification. Medical writing experience. Scientific or technical degree. Working within the life sciences, clinical trials service, neuroscience or medical imaging sectors. PR/media relations experience communicating to the life sciences media and/or experience working with PR agencies and managing media communications. Hands-on graphic design capability (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) or strong experience briefing designers.
