We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Risk Control Specialist to join our team and play a key role in driving the organization’s risk management initiatives.

In this role, you will be tasked with leading transformational initiatives, driving automation in risk controls, and ensuring that technology risk management aligns with both industry standards and the company’s strategic objectives.

Job Title: Senior Technology Risk Control Specialist

Location: Sheffield, UK – Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the office)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Deliver Transformational Initiatives: Support and guide control operators to deliver impactful, agile-driven initiatives across multiple controls, focusing on automation and efficiency improvements.
• Risk Alignment: Ensure that technology controls align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and the company's overarching risk management strategy.
• Control Enhancement: Drive sustainable enhancements or remediation efforts to improve the effectiveness of technology controls.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly assess and report on the effectiveness of technology controls, identifying areas for improvement and providing insights to senior management.
• Control Indicators: Establish and monitor Key Control Indicators (KCIs) to track the effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts and ensure continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key senior stakeholders (GBGFs, Second/Third Line of Defense, and External Audit) to ensure alignment and a unified approach to technology risk management.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage risk-related data to influence and prioritize activities effectively across teams.

Key Requirements:

• Proven Experience: A track record of delivering sustainable outcomes in large, enterprise-scale organizations.
• Senior Stakeholder Management: Experience influencing C-suite executives and managing senior stakeholders with varying opinions and priorities.
• Technology Risk Management Expertise: Extensive experience in technology risk management, including the successful implementation and enhancement of controls.
• Regulatory and Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of control operations, regulatory requirements, and best practices in technology risk management.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
• Analytical Excellence: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen understanding of complex technology landscapes.
• Risk Management Software Knowledge: Familiarity with enterprise risk management software and tools in large financial services organizations.
• Project Management: Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex projects with a focus on risk and control enhancement.
