About the role: We are looking for a confident, highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented program manager to support us on data operations and process improvement projects. This role focuses on coordinating work, managing requests, and supporting projects that improve how we handle data. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the business on driving forward multiple workstreams. This role will report to the Head of Products and Programmes.

Specific responsibilities

  • Data Support Operations: Triage incoming requests, assign them to the right team, and track progress until resolution. Maintain visibility of all requests and ensure timely updates to stakeholders. Support backlog planning and prioritisation sessions to keep work organised and aligned with business priorities. Prepare summaries and updates for planning meetings.
  • Data Capability Operations Support: Coordinate operational activities for data team capabilities such as data ingestion. Manage intake of data product/project requests and validate scope and dependencies. Track progress against key deadlines and elevate risks when needed. Support the data ingestion team with issue triage and ensure blockers are resolved quickly. Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders throughout delivery.
  • Process Improvement & Data Capability Scaling Projects: Support projects that improve and scale data capabilities, from discovery through to deployment. Assist with defining requirements and documenting processes. Help coordinate delivery activities, including planning, testing, and rollout. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and implement best practices. Ensure new processes are documented and adopted across teams.

Required skills and experience

  • Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project success collaboratively. Strong interpersonal skills – able to align stakeholders within the project plan and drive accountability over milestones to support successful delivery. Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively. Inquisitive and adept at problem solving – able to identify the causes for blockers and determine plans to counter. Confident managing and adapting to evolving priorities.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of project management experience, ideally in a data/technology/product development environment. Experience of proactively taking ownership of project planning, working with other internal teams from requirements definition through to initial support post-handover to BAU. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Proficiency with project management tools. Experience with different project management methodologies and the ability to determine what aspects of those methodologies are appropriate for each team/project.
