We're expanding our Water Treatment Department and are looking for an experienced and proactive Water Treatment Technician to deliver industry-leading solutions and service across a range of client sites.

IWS (WH) provides services in all aspects of water hygiene and legionella control including legionella risk assessments into the public sector, utility companies, industrial, commercial and retail customers. IWS Water Hygiene is one of the most successful businesses in the Water Treatment market.
The Role
- Installation of Water Treatment Equipment
- Full installation and commissioning of water treatment systems at client sites
- Connecting to plumbing and electrical infrastructure
- Testing systems to ensure functionality and compliance
- Training client staff on system use and maintenance
- Completing all installation documentation and reports
- Coordinating with clients and internal teams for smooth delivery
- Performing scheduled and preventative maintenance on treatment systems
- Diagnosing and repairing equipment faults or inefficiencies
- Maintaining detailed records of service visits, adjustments, and part replacements
- Supporting clients with first-time fixes and equipment care
- Conducting technical site visits and assessments
- Taking water samples and performing on-site analysis
- Identifying system issues and proposing tailored treatment solutions
- Preparing technical reports and supporting commercial proposals
- Staying current with new treatment technologies and best practices
What You'll Need
- Minimum 2 yearsβ experience in water treatment, including work with steam boilers, cooling towers, process water, pre-treatment systems, and softeners
- Recognised plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent skills/experience)
- Legionella control certification (e.g., City & Guilds, IOSH, Water Management Society)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
- Proactive and flexible approach with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Committed to safety, quality, and delivering exceptional customer service
