Reporting daily to the Remedial\’s Manager the Water Hygiene Fitter / Plumber will be responsible for completing primarily remedial and small project works; but also planned maintenance when workloads dictate.
As a Water Hygiene Fitter / Plumber you will be hard working, organised and have untiring attention to detail. This is a field based role requiring you to travel each day and stop away on occasion. You will be responsible for meeting quality, technical and safety standards, hitting performance and punctuality targets and producing accurate and timely service reports.

About the role:
- Plumbing, tank replacements and remedial works as instructed and in accordance with current standards
- Planned maintenance when work load dictates
- Assessment of jobs in advance, and contribute to the planning of labour and materials necessary to complete the works successfully
- Risk assessments and ensure work is completed safely. You will also report accidents, hazards and near misses.
- Fault finding and the identification of solutions to problems
- The role of Leading Hand when working together in a team
- Timely and detailed service reports including upkeep of on-line records
- Regular customer communications including planning, and pre and post job reviews.

- H&S Training including Asbestos Awareness, WaH, COSHH and Manual Handling

What youll need:
Essential Skills
- Excellent work history in plumbing of domestic water systems, including removal of dead legs and working with copper and plastic pipework
- Experience of carrying out planned and remedial maintenance work within the Water Hygiene industry, including TMV servicing and C&D of cold water storage tanks.
- Ability to work on own initiative and lead jobs when required.
- Full and valid UK Driving Licence
Desirable Experience
- Preference will be given to applicants who meet both the above and all or part of the details below.
- A recognised plumbing qualification, for example C&G, NVQ Level 2 or higher
- Experience of installing or servicing Softeners, RO or CL02 equipment
- An unvented water heater qualification
- Experience of using a Tablet PC to receive, update and report on Work Orders
Licence/Certification
- A full valid driving licence (required)
- Level 2 or higher plumbing (required)
