The Role

We are looking for a motivated Graduate Project Engineer to join our Energy, Carbon & Resilience team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or early‑career engineer who wants hands‑on experience, structured training and exposure to real projects within the clean and recycled water industries. Reporting to the Energy, Carbon & Resilience Manager, you will support the identification and delivery of energy efficiency and system optimisation projects while developing your technical and professional skills.

  • Carry out site surveys, including pump performance and system testing
  • Analyse and report on survey findings
  • Identify system optimisation and energy efficiency opportunities
  • Assess pump replacement or refurbishment options
  • Complete cost analysis and calculate payback periods
  • Work directly with client representatives on live sites
  • Contribute to IWS and client Health & Safety initiatives
  • Produce high‑quality technical reports and documentation

What You’ll Need

  • Qualified to a minimum of HNC level in an engineering discipline or have completed an apprenticeship
  • Motivated, organised and able to work independently
  • Keen to develop your technical and professional skills
  • IT‑literate, with confidence using Microsoft Office
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail‑focused, with the ability to produce high‑quality documentation
  • Happy to work in a target‑driven environment
