This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the water industry's most critical challenges while developing your expertise across data, network operations, and strategic resolution planning. IWS M&E is part of the South Staffordshire Group – a 3,000-strong organisation behind South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, and several leading utility support businesses – offering long‑term development and career progression.

An exciting new opportunity for an Estimator joining our team of MIECA & Civil Engineers running our biggest clean water, wastewater and Civil projects. You’ll be based from our hub in Walsall but have a remit that covers the UK, working on projects for our biggest customers (Severn Trent Water, Anglian Water and more). The projects range from £50k to £5m plus so you’ll be used to working alongside our teams of engineers and working with varied clients and project managers.

Role

Managing the tender process on a variety of procurement routes including single stage, two stage and through our various Framework Agreements. Estimating bidding for multi‑disciplinary projects to achieve targets and secure profitable work through competitive tendering. Ensuring all quotes are commercially costed considering plant, labour, materials and time requirements. Early involvement within programmes at Tender stage along with other departments. Reviewing trends and carrying out data analysis to identify areas for improvement. Maintaining tender database and risk scoring systems for new tenders and updating throughout the tender process. Developing relationships with Stakeholders and clients.

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Experience with using estimating software.
  • Experience within the Utilities Industry would be a distinct advantage.
  • A full driving licence.
