An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical & Electrical Operative to join our growing team based in Wallingford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career within the utilities and water industry. Working on a variety of mechanical and electrical installation, maintenance and refurbishment projects, you will play a key role in supporting essential water infrastructure across the region. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment where a strong work ethic, commitment to safety and a 'right first time' approach are essential.

The successful candidate will be provided with a company van, full PPE and all the equipment required to carry out their role safely and effectively.
The Role:- Installing and maintaining a wide range of mechanical apparatus and associated equipment.
- Installing, maintaining and repairing water-related pumping plant, pipework and associated control equipment.
- Working on pumping infrastructure including split case pumps, vertical turbine pumps and associated assets.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Supporting project delivery across a variety of customer sites.
- Working in accordance with Health & Safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
- Working closely with colleagues and customers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Experience in a mechanical, electrical or engineering environment would be advantageous; however, we are equally interested in candidates who can demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn, as full training will be provided for the right individual.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- The ability to demonstrate initiative and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
- Flexibility to work additional hours and travel to customer sites as required.
