About Us
As a national charity, we support individuals with the greatest need in our communities to access and enjoy golf.
Role Description
We seek a passionate individual to join as an unpaid volunteer trustee, with strong safeguarding knowledge and dedication to the England Golf Trust\’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safeguarding policies are in place, reviewed, and followed.
- Provide safeguarding advice to the board and leadership.
- Ensure safeguarding training for trustees and staff.
- Promote a safeguarding-first approach.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation.
- Act as safeguarding lead, providing updates and reports.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in safeguarding children and adults.
- Strong communication skills for safeguarding advice.
- Knowledge of safeguarding regulations in charities.
- Ability to prioritize safeguarding at board level.
- Passion for golf and inclusivity.
- Trustee or governance experience is a plus but not essential.
Commitment
Attend 3 in-person board meetings annually, participate in online meetings, and contribute to fundraising. This unpaid role offers a chance to impact golf\’s future in England.
