The Performance Marketing team sits within the wider Direct Acquisition team, which also includes sales and brand. We are responsible for supporting the top of funnel growth of our core lending business across a number of offline and online channels from Mail to Search and Social.

We’re looking to hire a Senior Paid Search Executive with experience within Google Ads to support the overall management, optimisation and scaling of our Paid Search channel. You’ll help with both the day-to-day running of our Google campaigns, lead our growth strategy on Bing and help drive forward our expansion into new search opportunities with the likes of ChatGPT Ads, and additional Google properties such as Display and Video. This role could also suit someone currently working in a paid search or performance marketing agency who wants their first move inhouse and the chance to see the direct commercial impact of their work.

    • Launch, optimise and scale campaigns across Google Search, Performance Max, Youtube and Demand Gen.
    • Ensure excellent account hygiene e.g. excluding irrelevant search terms & placements, addressing low ad relevance/quality score keywords, spotting opportunities for further account consolidation where keywords have low volume, improving ad extensions.
  • Testing insights
    • Support the creation, monitoring and analysis of landing page experiments, using Webflow to assist with on-site page changes.
    • Analyse performance data to deliver actionable insights and support ideas for testing and optimisation based on clear hypotheses e.g. landing page engagement metrics, keyword themes with lower conversion rate, under performing creative assets.
    • Support the channel lead in developing compelling text, image and video ads that reflects our brand tone and support channel objectives. Regularly share performance feedback.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
    • Monitor performance on a granular level across keywords, landing pages, search terms, creative assets etc.
    • Report on channel performance to stakeholders on a regular basis using both in-platform and internal data.
    • Set up dashboards for efficient test monitoring.
    • Collaborate with Acquitech to ensure data accuracy in Looker.

Requirements

Essential:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years hands-on experience with Google Ads.
  • A strong understanding of the channel dynamics and metrics within Paid Search.

  • A data driven mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong copywriting skills and an excellent eye for detail.
  • A creative thinker with the ability to go beyond administrative repetitive tasks e.g. identify opportunities independently & be bold in raising them, be courageous to challenge channel lead if they believe a task could be approached differently etc.
  • Naturally curious and keen to learn from the wider team.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable collaborating with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and seniority levels.
  • Well organised, able to effectively manage their time in accordance with priorities.
  • Strong commercial acumen.

Preferred:
