Product Owner - Internal CRM Team Hybrid in London (3-days in-office per week) We\'re hiring a Product Owner to join iwoca\'s internal CRM team. You\'ll drive improvements to the platform behind iwoca\'s account management, credit analytics, and collections processes. Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders, you\'ll deliver features that help teams work faster, support customers better, and scale effectively. You\'ll lead key projects improving backend systems, communication, and product launches - shaping how we support thousands of businesses daily. The team The CRM team, known internally as Backyard Gardeners (BYG), builds and owns iwoca\'s proprietary platform, the central system behind our account management, credit analytics and collections. Used daily by hundreds of super-users, it\'s one of the most sophisticated tools in the business, with a direct impact on how we scale, serve customers, and drive long-term profitability. You will work with a group of visionary back-end and front-end engineers committed to creating and enhancing the tools that empower our operational teams to deliver the exceptional service that sets us apart. The role Our teams strive to deliver exceptional customer service at every customer interaction, and we need them to have the best tools for their job. As a Product Owner in our CRM team you will improve and scale the technology that supports this, aligning product development with business goals and user needs. You\'ll gather and prioritise roadmap items, working closely with engineers and stakeholders to shape features that help teams move faster, support customers better, and scale as we grow. You\'ll collaborate with a highly capable technical team to break down complex problems, manage trade-offs, and deliver improvements that make a real difference. By tracking outcomes and learning from each release, you\'ll continuously raise the quality of our tools and the service they enable - giving you direct influence over how we support thousands of businesses every day. The projects You\'ll lead high-impact projects that shape how our teams operate and how customers experience iwoca. Recent and upcoming examples include: Supporting new product launches: Set our Operations teams up for success as we launch new card products, ensuring they have fast access to the right data to deliver exceptional support from day one. Improving customer communication: We aim to answer 90% of calls within 2 minutes and our tech needs to support that. Lead the optimisation of our phone system (built on Twilio), focusing on improving routing logic and developing tools for our operations teams to manage calls effectively. Scaling our backend systems: Guide the evolution of our Django-based backend as we move to microservices, increasing performance and scalability to support our growing customer base. The requirements Essential: Proven experience as a Product Owner, in product management, or a technical role. Delivery focused, with the ability to work autonomously and manage projects end-to-end. Strong understanding of technical concepts to manage trade-offs and evaluate new ideas effectively. Critical thinker with problem-solving skills to challenge assumptions and recommend innovative solutions. Excellent communication skills, tailoring style and technical detail to suit different audiences. A team player who balances confidence, humility, and enthusiasm. Bonus: Experience with card products Familiarity with User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design principles. A strong numerical or technical background. The salary We expect to pay from £60,000 - £75,000 for this role. But, we\'re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application.
