We're looking for a Product Owner to join the Acquitech team. You'll own the roadmap for the team behind iwoca's acquisition data, technology and models.

The company: Small businesses move fast. Opportunities often don't wait, and cash flow pressures can appear overnight. To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that's as flexible and responsive as they are. That's why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five-star service ensure business owners can act with the speed, confidence and control they need, exactly when it's needed. We've already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than £5 billion in funding. Our team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they power.

The team: Acquitech builds and maintains the data infrastructure behind iwoca's direct acquisition channels. The team's aim is to get the right data to the right places – so ad platforms find businesses worth reaching, analysts trust the reports they build, and the sales team knows who to call first. The team works across four areas:

  • Tracking and attribution: Recording every lead and sign-up accurately, and sending conversion data back to ad platforms so their algorithms improve over time.
  • Customer value prediction: Building models that estimate a potential customer's expected value, used to guide where marketing spends, who receives direct mail and which businesses a salesperson prioritises.
  • The data layer: Providing a clear, trusted foundation so analysts and channel managers can build reporting without second-guessing the numbers.
  • Team tooling and automation: Building tools and automated workflows, from automating sales task assignment to running LLM analysis on sales calls so the team can review performance at scale.

The team is small – three engineers, two data scientists and you – with the senior engineer sharing the day-to-day leadership. You'll report to a Senior Product Owner in an adjacent team.

The role: As Product Owner in Acquitech, you'll turn requests from marketing and sales into well-scoped work the team can deliver, and own the roadmap. You'll have real ownership of systems that directly shape acquisition spend, and the space to move quickly in a small, capable team. The work mixes delivery – compliance sign-offs, ad platform integrations and product changes – with discovery cycles where you prototype and test ideas quickly. You'll become the go-to person for Acquitech systems and processes, and you'll use AI to multiply what a small team can deliver – from prototyping ideas to automating workflows for the team and its stakeholders.

Roadmap and priorities: You'll own priorities across Acquitech's work, writing clear requirements and seeing them through to release. You'll set direction with the Head of Direct Acquisition and the channel leads who depend on the team.

Tracking and ad platform integrations: You'll lead the team's work on conversion tracking, custom audiences and API migrations. You'll own the product change documentation that comes with them, working through Compliance, Data Privacy and Legal.

Discovery: You'll run discovery work to find new opportunities, using AI to prototype and test ideas quickly, and bring findings back to the wider business – for example through weekly learning sessions.

Ways of working: You'll run the team's rhythms – stand-ups, retros and monthly reviews – and set clear quarterly goals.

The requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Product ownership: You've worked in a product role, managing several projects end to end – writing requirements, owning priorities and being accountable for results.
    • Data literacy: You use data to diagnose problems, size opportunities and evaluate whether a release delivered what you hoped.
    • Technical fluency: You can discuss trade-offs with engineers around APIs, tracking pipelines and data flows. You follow the argument without needing everything translated.
    • Communication: You write and speak clearly. You adapt technical detail for commercial colleagues and commercial context for engineers.
    • Leadership: You're comfortable running stand-ups and retros, setting quarterly goals and keeping priorities clear.
    • AI leverage: You've built AI workflows, or used AI to produce specs, analysis, or prototypes beyond what you could deliver alone. You judge when to use it and when not to.
  • Bonus:
    • Marketing technology: You've worked with tools such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads or Meta Ads, or on conversion tracking and attribution.
    • Analytics tools: You've used Looker, Amplitude or a similar analytics platform to build or maintain reporting.
    • Data pipelines: You understand ETL concepts or database architecture.
    • Data science collaboration: You've worked alongside data scientists or contributed to a modelling project.
    • Regulated products: You've worked in fintech, lending or another regulated product area.

The salary: We expect to pay from £50,000 to £70,000 for this role. We're open-minded, so include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.

The culture: At iwoca, the best idea wins. We model our culture on independent thinking, challenging untested logic, and evidence-based decisions. We prioritise learning and growth, and give people the autonomy to develop in the direction that makes them most effective. We're a tech company and believe in the power of AI to help us work faster and better. We provide the infrastructure where every team member always has access to the best models and where those models have access to all of our data. We help our people to learn how to use and grow with the new tools available to them.

The offices: We put a lot of effort into making iwoca a great place to work: Offices in London, Leeds, Berlin, and Frankfurt with plenty of drinks and snacks. Events and community-led groups, including running groups, padel, and monthly ping-pong and pool competitions.

The benefits: Flexible working hours. Medical insurance from Vitality, including discounted gym membership. A private GP service (separate from Vitality) for you, your partner, and your dependents. 25 days' holiday per year, an extra day off for your birthday, the option to buy or sell an additional five days of annual leave, and unlimited unpaid leave. A one-month, fully paid sabbatical after four years. Instant access to external counselling and therapy sessions for team members that need emotional or mental health support. 3% pension contributions on total earnings. An employee equity incentive scheme. Generous parental leave and a nursery tax benefit scheme to help you save money. Electric car scheme and cycle to work scheme. Two company retreats a year: we've been to France, Italy, Spain, and further afield. And to make sure we all keep learning, we offer: A learning and development budget for everyone. Company-wide talks with internal and external speakers. Access to learning platforms like Treehouse.
