We're looking for a Collections & Recoveries Advisor who prioritises meaningful conversations with our customers and allows adequate time to address each account's unique circumstances. We don't use a dialler; instead, we focus on one‐to‐one dialogue to recover payments or understand missed payments.

Responsibilities
- Conduct purposeful conversations with customers in early arrears to recover payments or ascertain reasons for missed payments and schedule next steps.
- Build relationships through regular contact to validate, understand and resolve breaches of loan agreements.
- Handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls and send emails with great care, in a diligent, professional and efficient manner.
- Negotiate, implement and monitor feasible repayment solutions that consider the client's circumstances while balancing the business's best interests.
- Work closely with the Collections Team Leader and Specialists to review and develop processes for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulatory guidelines and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in debt recovery, ideally in the commercial/business sector in a call‐based environment.
- Empathy, forbearance and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills on both phone and email.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle diverse challenges, innovate and think quickly.
- Business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for helping SMEs.
