The Commercial Strategy team is the central hub for strategy, growth analytics, and operational excellence for our Third Party (Partner and Introducer) customer acquisition channels in Germany. We are working with hundreds of SME Brokers, many banks and large platforms to offer our lending products in the most effective way to their customers. The team designs and executes strategies to grow iwoca’s reach, working cross-functionally to ensure Partners and Introducer channels run efficiently and scale profitably. It’s a small, fast-moving team where we connect the dots between data and decision-making, ensuring our strategy turns into measurable commercial impact.
This role is the data and analytical backbone of our German Third Party customer acquisition teams. You will make a direct impact by using data to help us grow smarter and faster. It’s a role designed for an analytical person who wants to build a career in fintech strategy and analytics, offering a unique blend of hands-on data work and strategic exposure.
- Analysis and Business Impact
- Conduct bespoke analyses to solve business problems and support long term team objectives, e.g. finding the most effective commission structure or incentive system for our partners.
- Analyse Partner and Introducer funnel performance, conversion rates, and processes to identify opportunities that improve performance and drive growth.
- Lead and support strategic projects with analysis and process improvements, helping the team launch new initiatives and experiments.
- Data reporting and infrastructure
- Take ownership of the reporting for our Third Party channels, delivering insights that shape the team's strategic decisions.
- Build and maintain reporting infrastructure used by the team and our Third Party partners.
- Be the go-to support for maintaining and optimising commission and reporting processes.
- Track costs for our Third Parties, using these to evaluate the ROI of our partners and the overall team.
- Data Support
- Be a data champion for the team, helping our team to correctly use and interpret data, and to tackle any issues or questions that arise.
- Work with other teams to identify new uses for data and to fix issues with existing data.
- Collaborate with the wider team to level up their data skills and empower them to achieve more with our vast amounts of available data.
Who we’re looking for
- Essential:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar analytical role with commercial applications.
- Highly proficient in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel and experience with a business intelligence tool (Looker is most preferable, Tableau, Power BI etc).
- Experience with SQL.
- Basic knowledge of Python or a willingness to learn.
- A proactive problem-solver who is motivated to drive growth and improve processes.
- A clear communicator, comfortable working with commercial and technical teams.
- A degree in a quantitative field such as a STEM subject, Economics, Business or Finance.
- Experience in fintech or similar industry.
- Familiarity with DBT and Snowflake.
The salary
We expect to pay from £40,000 - £55,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.
