If you’re a high-energy communicator who loves building relationships and wants to gain experience, qualifications, and career progression at a leading fintech, apply now.
The company believes in SMEs and that they deserve better than confusing jargon, slow and outdated customer experiences, and being caught out by hidden conditions and fees. Since 2012, iwoca has made finance fast, flexible, and fair for over 150,000 businesses. Now, we're doing the same for insurance.
The team is a small, entrepreneurial group responsible for launching iwoca's new SME insurance business. Here’s how the team works together:
- Customer-obsessed: The team challenges itself to build insurance that its customers actually want.
- Curious & supportive: The team collaborates across disciplines to find creative solutions to complex problems.
- Move fast & have fun: The team is fast-paced and highly autonomous, but makes sure to celebrate wins and have fun along the way.
- Ambitious & entrepreneurial: The environment is ideal for people who thrive on taking ownership of their work.
You’ll be the person introducing our new insurance offering to businesses who are tired of the status quo. You’ll help SMEs move away from complicated, slow insurance policies and make them aware of a fairer, more transparent way to protect their business. In this role, you will:
- Proactively engage with SME business operators by phone ahead of their business insurance renewal date to offer a better alternative.
- Master the art of the pitch—navigating gatekeepers, articulating our value proposition, and turning objections into opportunities for our brokers.
- Manage your pipeline end-to-end within our HubSpot CRM, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and proactive follow-ups.
- Collaborate closely with our in-house brokers and wider team to turn early customer feedback into insights that refine our product offering and sales strategy.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience navigating outbound or client-facing interactions within a professional business environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decisions, and handle commercial objections over the phone and email.
- A high-energy, resilient, and results-oriented personality that thrives on achieving goals.
- Sharp problem-solving instincts and a 'can-do' mindset.
- Organised and proactive approach to managing your workload.
- Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-moving, high-growth atmosphere.
- Eagerness to learn - insurance industry experience isn’t necessary - we will provide training to help you succeed.
- A desire to secure professional qualifications and drive long-term career progression within a rapidly scaling fintech environment.
We expect to pay around £30,000 plus bonus for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application.
At iwoca, we prioritise a culture of learning, growth, and support, and invest in the professional development of our team members. We value thought and skill diversity, and encourage you to explore new areas of interest to help us innovate and improve our products and services.
