Your mission
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll build a high quality pipeline of prospects and generate revenue by making outbound calls, booking meetings, following up with customers, using Social Selling tools, and much more.
Each interaction with a potential new customer is unique, and requires focus as well as solo thinking. How you manage your pipeline will make a significant difference in hitting your KPIs. If you are successful, the opportunity to grow and develop as a sales professional is unbounded.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and nurturing a high quality lead pipeline by making a high volume of outbound calls, and occasionally dealing with inbound queries, at all times representing the company in a highly professional manner.
- Using Social Selling tools & techniques to maximise your success in connecting with prospects.
- Identifying and qualifying prospects that might have a need for business finance.
- Communicating the iwoca value proposition in a precise and compelling way to engage and convert prospects.
- Going above and beyond in your efforts to hit and exceed your KPIs; this will enable us to beat sales growth targets.
- Working as a team player, and helping improve the overall success of this exciting part of the business.
Requirements
We look for people who are smart, humble, motivated and who are always looking to improve.
Ideally you\’ll:
- Have past experience in sales, ideally within financial services.
- Be comfortable making cold outbound calls, and have an outstanding call manner.
- Be highly motivated, and excited to exceed targets.
- Be able to take on, and provide, quality feedback to power your own growth, as well as that of your teammates.
- Be organised and able to manage a large pipeline of prospects, with deals at various stages of progress.
- Be able to simplify and explain complex products in a way that customers with little experience in commercial financing can easily understand.
Desired (but not essential):
- Understand the challenges facing small businesses.
- Have a good understanding of different financial products used by small businesses.
Don’t take this list as prescriptive: it’s just to give you a sense of who might do well at the job. We’d still love to hear from you if you don’t hit every point on the list, or if you have other experience.
Work-life balance is incredibly important at iwoca and we offer flexible working so you can make better use of your free time. This is a role in which you can spend part of your time working from home.
