To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that’s as flexible and responsive as they are. That's why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five-star customer service ensures business owners can act with the speed, confidence and control they need, exactly when it's needed. We’ve already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than £4 billion in funding. Our passionate team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive.
The team: The Acquisition Strategy and Tech team is the integrated growth engine for iwoca in Germany. We bridge the gap between high-level commercial strategy and the technical systems that power our customer journey. By combining growth analytics, performance modeling, and full-stack engineering, we own the end-to-end acquisition funnel – from the very first touchpoint to a completed loan application.
Our Core Focus:
- Strategic Growth & Analytics: We serve as the central hub for our Direct Marketing and Sales channels. We translate complex data into actionable strategies, ensuring our outreach is both scalable and profitably managed.
- Technical Infrastructure: We build and maintain the proprietary systems and models that drive our German operations. This includes optimizing the "User Experience" (UX) to ensure a frictionless onboarding process for small businesses.
- Operational Excellence: We connect the dots between data-driven decision-making and real-world commercial impact. Our mission is to ensure every potential customer receives a clear, relevant, and rapid understanding of how iwoca can fund their business.
The role: This role is the analytical and operational backbone of our German Sales and Marketing teams. You will make a direct impact by using data to help us grow smarter and faster. It’s a role designed for an analytical person who wants to build a career in fintech strategy and commercial operations, offering a unique blend of hands‑on data work and strategic exposure. In the first six months, you’ll be mainly focused on CRM and Sales Operations ensuring our HubSpot environment runs smoothly and accurately.
Growth and Business Impact:
- Analyse sales funnel performance, conversion rates, and campaign ROI to identify opportunities that directly drive growth.
- Take ownership of the reporting for our Direct Acquisition channels, delivering insights that shape the team’s strategic decisions.
- Support strategic projects with analysis and process improvements, helping the team launch new initiatives and experiments.
Data reporting and infrastructure:
- Be the go‑to support for maintaining and optimising Sales leads via upload, scoring, attribution, and analysis.
- Build and maintain dashboards in HubSpot and Looker to track lead flow, conversion rates, and ROI.
- Support weekly and monthly performance reviews with actionable insights.
- Work with internal data and analytics teams to ensure accurate data synchronisation between HubSpot, Looker, and backend systems.
- Ensure data integrity for attribution, source tracking, and campaign reporting.
Automation and Optimisation:
- Become the team’s HubSpot CRM expert, using automation to make the Sales team more effective.
- Design and run small experiments (A/B tests) on outreach cadences and email templates to improve conversion rates.
Who we’re looking for:
- Essential: Early in your career (1‑3 years experience) and eager to build operational and analytical skills.
- Highly organised and detail‑oriented, with experience managing data in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience with SQL or a data visualisation tool like Looker or Tableau.
- A proactive problem‑solver who is motivated to improve processes, not just follow them.
- A clear communicator, comfortable working with commercial and technical teams.
- Fluent in German and English (at least C1).
- Bonus: Familiarity with a CRM system like HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Experience in SME lending.
- Experience with lead data management in the German market.
- Familiarity using statistical tools like Python or R.
The salary: We expect to pay from £32,000 - £55,000 for this role. But, we’re open‑minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.
The culture: At iwoca, we prioritise a culture of learning, growth, and support, and invest in the development of our team members. We value thought and skill diversity, and encourage people to explore new areas of interest, adopt better tools – including AI – and apply sound judgement so our products and decisions improve over time.
The offices: We put a lot of effort into making iwoca a great place to work: Offices in London, Leeds, Berlin, and Frankfurt with plenty of drinks and snacks. Events and clubs, like bingo, comedy nights, football, etc.
The benefits:
- Flexible working hours.
- Medical insurance from Vitality, including discounted gym membership.
- A private GP service (separate from Vitality) for you, your partner, and your dependents.
- 25 days’ holiday per year, an extra day off for your birthday, the option to buy or sell an additional five days of annual leave, and unlimited unpaid leave.
- A one‑month, fully paid sabbatical after four years.
- Instant access to external counselling and therapy sessions for team members that need emotional or mental health support.
- 3% Pension contributions on total earnings.
- An employee equity incentive scheme.
- Generous parental leave and a nursery tax benefit scheme to help you save money.
- Electric car scheme and cycle to work scheme.
- Two company retreats a year: we’ve been to France, Italy, Spain, and further afield.
And to make sure we all keep learning, we offer:
- A learning and development budget for everyone.
