We’re looking for a Commercial Strategy Manager to join our Credit Compass team.

The Company:

Small businesses move fast. Opportunities often don’t wait, and cash flow pressures can appear overnight. To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that’s as flexible and responsive as they are. That's why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five-star customer service ensures business owners can act with the speed, confidence and control they need, exactly when it's needed. We’ve already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than £4 billion in funding. Our passionate team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive.

The Team:

The Credit Compass launched late 2025. Over the last year we’ve improved the product and now have thousands of users and a very strong NPS score. We’re now focused on how we scale acquisition, launch new experiences, and start understanding what iwoca products different segments of credit compass users want to use.

Your Mission:

This role owns cross-sell for Credit Compass. Put simply, the aim is to help more Credit Compass users find an iwoca product that's genuinely right for them, and in doing so grow the value of each visit. A big part of the role is figuring out the right product for the right customer at the right time. That could be a loan, credit card, insurance, iwocaPay, or something entirely new. You'll decide who should see what, when they should see it, and how to make the journey from recommendation to funding feel effortless. The ambition is simple: moving from a Credit Compass user to an iwoca customer should be as easy as booking a flight. It's a hands-on role. You'd spend your time working out where the value and the friction are, testing new products and offers to see what actually works. You’ll work mostly with the credit compass team, a small knit squad of 8 covering engineering, marketing, and design.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the cross-sell funnel end to end: how users move from seeing an offer, to clicking, starting an application then using one of our products. That means owning the metrics, understanding where the drop-offs are, and being responsible for improving them.
  • Work out who gets offered what, and when: Use customer data and eligibility signals to match products to customers sensibly, design the logic and experience behind that, and check it genuinely improves conversion and value rather than just clicks.
  • Run experiments to answer real questions: Design and ship cross tests - then deep dive into the results to decide what to scale, what needs to be fixed, and what the next opportunity might be.
  • Make the journeys seamless: Get into the different user journeys, find the bugs, tracking gaps and friction, and work with engineers to fix them and measure things cleanly, writing clear problem statements and set a high pace for delivery.
  • Help more declined customers get funded: turning insight into a measurable increase in funded customers from the decline pool.
  • Measure what you ship and iterate: Track how features perform through click rates, activation, drawdown and value per visit, and be as willing to stop something that isn't working as to keep going with something that is.
  • Use AI to work faster and go deeper: Lean on AI tools to speed up the analysis, testing and spec-writing that used to take much longer.

Requirements:

  • A track record of owning and improving a business metric: you've had a number you were responsible for (conversion, revenue, retention, something commercial) and you've moved it.
  • Data scepticism: having a sense for when something is off.
  • Strong data thinking, and a good partner to the people who do the analysis.
  • Comfortable making decisions with partial information.
  • Strong pace setter and sense of ownership.
  • Genuinely curious about how changes affect customer behaviour.
  • Able to bring other teams along with you.
  • Excited about helping small businesses.

The salary:

We expect to pay from £70,000 - £90,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application.

The culture:

At iwoca, the best idea wins. We model our culture on independent thinking, challenging untested logic, and evidence-based decisions. We prioritise learning and growth, and give people the autonomy to develop in the direction that makes them most effective.

The offices:

We put a lot of effort into making iwoca a great place to work: Offices in London, Leeds, Berlin, and Frankfurt with plenty of drinks and snacks. Events and community-led groups, including running groups, padel, and monthly ping-pong and pool competitions.

The benefits:

  • Flexible working hours.
  • Medical insurance from Vitality, including discounted gym membership.
  • A private GP service for you, your partner, and your dependents.
  • 25 days’ holiday per year, an extra day off for your birthday, the option to buy or sell an additional five days of annual leave, and unlimited unpaid leave.
  • A one-month, fully paid sabbatical after four years.
  • Instant access to external counselling and therapy sessions for team members that need emotional or mental health support.
  • 3% Pension contributions on total earnings.
  • An employee equity incentive scheme.
  • Generous parental leave and a nursery tax benefit scheme.
  • Electric car scheme and cycle to work scheme.
  • Two company retreats a year.
  • A learning and development budget for everyone.
  • Company-wide talks with internal and external speakers.
  • Access to learning platforms like Treehouse.
