Job Purpose
The candidate will be a Treasury professional who is looking for their next role to further develop and enhance their skills in Treasury. This role will report directly to the Treasury Manager and support in delivering the Treasury function’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Treasury Operations – Cash management:
- Review the daily cash position and cash forecast and execute strategy to reduce debt facilities and if appropriate investments.
- Execution of Foreign Exchange and Investments dealing.
- Assist with any projects where cash management improvement initiatives are concerned.
- Risk Management – Work with the Treasury Manager to identify, assess, and develop strategies to manage the Group’s financial risks effectively. Including but not limited to foreign exchange, interest rate, liquidity, and counterparty risk.
- Relationship Management – Work with the Treasury team to build and maintain relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
- Business Unit Support – Ensure that all business units are supported in all Treasury matters and aware of Group Treasury policies and procedures. Including supporting the Deputy Group Treasury Director and Treasury Manager in managing the internal funding of Group entities in collaboration with Group Tax and the GSC.
- Policies & Procedures – Work with the Treasury Manager to ensure any Treasury processes are documented and updated.
- Reporting – Deliver the following reporting requirements:
- Daily reporting on cash positions for approvals on investments and foreign exchange dealing.
- Benchmarking reports such as the competitiveness of the Group’s banks Foreign Exchange pricing.
- Treasury Systems and Innovation – Collaborate with the Treasury and wider stakeholder teams to optimise Treasury systems and Technology platforms which include Enterprise Payments, Payment Orchestration, Treasury Management System, e-Trading platforms, and any other associated systems.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Degree educated
- Accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA) and/or AMCT qualified or working towards the qualifications
- 2-3 years global corporate treasury experience in a multi-country organisation
- Previous experience of hedging, FX and international cash management is essential
- A collaborative mindset, able to work across multiple teams both internally and externally
- An inquisitive and creative mindset, good organisational skills and a “can-do” attitude.
