SALARY: GBP31,593 to GBP34,194 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Stanmore, North West London

JOB TYPE: Full‑Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, all year round

JOB OVERVIEW

The Assistant Facilities Manager works closely with the Site Manager and school colleagues to support smooth day‑to‑day premises operations, maintenance and compliance.

Through contractor coordination, team supervision and accurate estates records, the Assistant Facilities Manager helps keep resources and services running effectively.

The Assistant Facilities Manager also supports emergencies, lettings and improvement needs, contributing directly to the effective running of the site.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Assistant Facilities Manager include:

  • Premises Operations: Support the Site Manager with day‑to‑day maintenance, cleanliness, safety and smooth operation of the premises
  • Team and Contractor Coordination: Coordinate and supervise premises, caretaking and cleaning teams and external contractors, helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Maintenance Checks and Planning: Carry out regular inspections and scheduled checks, identify repair and improvement needs and support planned maintenance
  • Compliance and Records: Support health and safety compliance and digital estates systems, maintaining accurate records
  • Budgets and Resources: Support maintenance budgets and contractor activity, helping ensure resources are used effectively
  • Stakeholder Support: Work with the Site Manager, Principal, Business Support Manager and wider school community to respond to premises needs, emergencies and lettings requirements

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a facilities management role
  • Experience managing a team, including cleaners and caretakers
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of all students
