Estate Manager – UHNW Client
UK + International GBP90,000–GBP100,000 DOE We are looking for an experienced, discreet and highly organised Estate Manager to support a low profile UHNW Principal across a portfolio of private residences in the UK and Europe.
This is a varied, hands on position for a proactive and self–managing professional who thrives in an ever changing private household environment.
The successful candidate will oversee the smooth day–to–day management of multiple residences, working closely with the Principal and established household teams to ensure the highest standards are consistently maintained.
Regular travel forms part of the role, including visits to the Cotswolds, Central London and Europe, making flexibility and a willingness to travel essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day–to–day management of multiple private residences across the UK and Europe.
- Act as the main point of contact for the Principal, ensuring all properties are maintained to exceptional standards.
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and improvement projects.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers and external service providers, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
- Work collaboratively with established household teams across each residence, maintaining excellent communication and continuity.
- Oversee household budgets, monitor expenditure and negotiate supplier contracts where appropriate.
- Ensure all health & safety, security and compliance measures are maintained across the portfolio.
- Coordinate guest and Principal arrivals, ensuring each property is fully prepared and operational.
- Maintain accurate property records, maintenance schedules, inventories and household documentation.
- Anticipate the Principal's needs, taking a proactive approach to problem solving and ensuring the seamless running of each residence.
- Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estate Manager, House Manager or similar senior household management role within a UHNW or high–profile private household.
- Calm, discreet and highly professional, with exceptional judgement and emotional intelligence.
- Naturally proactive with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident managing contractors, suppliers, maintenance projects and household operations.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to travel as business needs require.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle are essential.
• Comfortable travelling to
- Europe approximately 1–2 times per month
- The Cotswolds approximately twice per week
- Central London once a week (or every other week depending on the Principal's schedule)
- Italian language skills would be advantageous but are by no means essential.
- Thorough background and reference checks will be required.
