We are currently recruiting for an experienced Facilities Manager to join a well–established education environment in Norwich on a fixed–term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident FM professional to manage hard and soft services within a live educational setting, ensuring compliance, safety and service excellence throughout the contract period.

The Role

As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the day–to–day delivery of facilities services across the site, managing teams, contractors and service partners to ensure the estate is safe, compliant and fully operational. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall management of hard and soft FM services within an education setting
  • Ensuring statutory compliance across all building systems and facilities
  • Managing PPM schedules, reactive maintenance and lifecycle works
  • Leading on health & safety, risk assessments and compliance documentation
  • Managing subcontractors and monitoring service performance
  • Acting as the key point of contact for on–site stakeholders
  • Overseeing budgets, reporting and service delivery KPIs
  • Maintaining a safe, well–presented and fully functional learning environment

About You

  • Proven experience as a Facilities Manager, ideally within education, public sector or complex estates
  • Strong understanding of hard FM, compliance and health & safety requirements
  • Experience managing engineers, caretaking teams and subcontractors
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
  • Organised, proactive and solutions–focused
  • Able to hit the ground running in a fixed–term role
