Role Description

This is a full-time role as a Tyre Fitter, located in Birmingham. The Tyre Fitter will be responsible for fitting, inspecting, and maintaining various types of tyres, including those for forklifts, earthmovers, agricultural machinery, and other equipment. The role involves working closely with customers, delivering exceptional service, and ensuring high safety standards. Additional responsibilities include tyre repairs, identifying potential issues, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Monday - Friday 8am-16.30pm Overtime available at a higher rate.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fitting and maintaining tyres, with knowledge of solid, pneumatic, and press-on band tyres.
  • Knowledge of wheels for trucks and machinery, including forklifts, earthmovers, and agricultural equipment. (Preferred)
  • Basic technical and mechanical skills to diagnose and repair issues effectively.
  • A focus on safety procedures and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and understand their needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an on-site environment.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel when needed for on-site fitting services (preferred).
  • Prior experience in a similar role or within the automotive or industrial sector (preferred).
