The Role

As a Commercial Insurance Broker, you will maintain an existing portfolio of clients and develop new clients, providing tailored insurance solutions across multiple lines.

Responsibilities

• Work with a portfolio of new and existing clients to provide tailored insurance solutions across lines including Casualty (Public Liability, Employers Liability, Product Liability), Professional Indemnity, Fleet, and SME Packages for Retail, Hospitality, etc.
• Provide comprehensive customer support and advice to meet the insurance needs of clients.
• Develop a strong understanding of client business, requirements, and risks.
• Handle new business inquiries and cross‑sell to existing client base.
• Liaise and negotiate with insurers to identify the most suitable products.
• Handle day‑to‑day queries and inquiries from clients and insurers.
• Provide outstanding customer service and develop lasting relationships.

About You

• Minimum of 2 years experience in the insurance industry as a Commercial Account Handler, Broker, or Account Manager – essential.
• Experience and confidence working with SME and Mid‑Market clients.
• In‑depth knowledge of Liability insurance products; experience across other commercial lines highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service and relationship‑building skills both in person and over the phone.
• CII qualification or working towards one would be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong PC skills.
