We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dispatch Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our dispatch department, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery processes. This position involves managing the preparation and distribution of delivery lists, maintaining our fleet, and leading a team dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Dispatch Supervisor Responsibilities
- Preparation and Oversight: Print and verify delivery lists to ensure all items, including PVC windows, doors, cills, and ancillaries, are complete and ready for dispatch.
- Customer Communication: Proactively contact customers to communicate expected delivery times, ensuring a high level of service.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Manager to align production and dispatch schedules.
- Fleet Management: Conduct weekly checks of vehicles and a small fleet of four trucks to ensure they are in optimal condition.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep the working area controlled, clean, and tidy at all times.
- Team Management: Manage and lead a small team of five drivers, fostering teamwork and efficiency.
- Customer Service Excellence: Maintain exceptional service standards and cultivate healthy relationships with customers.
- Availability: Display a can-do attitude and be contactable at all times to handle any arising issues promptly.
