Could you spare a few hours a week to support local people affected by a cancer diagnosis, this can be the person with a diagnosis or their support network. We’ve been lucky enough to have a volunteer hypnotherapist for the last 18 months who has helped so many of our clients, with many different issues like pain and insomnia. Unfortunately, a house move is taking him to the mainland. Last year we supported over 200 new clients navigating their way through a cancer diagnosis. We provide free local emotional and well-being support for anyone affected by cancer. Our Centre is located in Lugley Street in Newport. Please get in touch if you think you could help our clients and us.

Skills:

  • Membership of General Hypnotherapy Register or NCH.
  • Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma Level 4 or above.
  • Knowledge of issues patients or their carers may face, including lack of sleep, pain, anxiety, etc.
  • Listening skills, important and strong non-verbal communication observation and building rapport skills.

When can I volunteer?

We would ideally like someone 4-6 hours per week but can be flexible. Start date will be agreed on completion of successful DBS check which will be funded by our organisation.
