Thursday Kitchen is a project supported by Ventnor Town Council and St Catherine’s Church and provides a free hot lunch for residents on Thursday lunch times. We are looking for cooks and kitchen assistants to help prepare lunches from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. At each session we provide around 50 meals.

Skills

  • Ideally have kitchen experience with food preparation and cooking for a group of people.
  • Able to work alongside other cooks, servers and washer-uppers. The kitchen can get a bit busy!
  • Food Hygiene Qualification is desirable, but we can arrange this for a suitable candidate.
  • A good sense of humour is useful too!

We follow a diversity and equal opportunities policy.

Availability Details

Anytime from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on a Thursday. Perhaps once a month, once a fortnight, or every six weeks. It can be more often if you like to help more frequently.
